DOST‑SUPPORTED STARTUP SHOWCASES REGIONAL DISASTER RESPONSE INNOVATION AT ASEAN MEET
Department of Science and Technology - PCIEERD
Jun 22, 2026
A Cebu‑based startup supported by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST‑PCIEERD) gets a positive nod from Southeast Asian neighbors for its innovation at the 14th ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR) Council Meeting in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Oh My Genie (OMG)! Crazy‑Fast showcased the ASEAN Resilience Mesh Operating System (ARM‑OS), an AI‑powered, offline‑first digital infrastructure designed to ensure the delivery of life‑saving resources during disasters and major infrastructure disruptions.
ARM-OS was presented before the ASEAN Secretariat and delegates from Japan, South Korea, and China, marking a milestone for a Philippine startup in a high‑level regional policy forum. The presentation was led by their Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Mr. Karl Frederick Kesner IV.
Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Ana Michelle Kesner, and Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Enrique San Juan, also held a high-level discussion with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Japan Mission to ASEAN regarding alignment and potential regional adoption.
The achievement builds on the company’s earlier success at the ASEAN India Startup Festival, where it won the Problem Solving Excellence Award, also with support from DOST-PCIEERD.
This milestone of Oh My Genie (OMG)! Crazy‑Fast represents pride for all Filipino startups, showing their ability to create advanced technologies to tackle important issues like food security, disaster response, and supply chain resilience that deserve global recognition.
